Converters
Epoch Timestamp to Date
Convert a Unix timestamp to a readable date.
Guide & explanation
A Unix / epoch timestamp is the amount of time since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC. This tool converts it to a readable date, and back.
Unit detection
The unit is guessed from the magnitude of the number:
| Digit count | Interpreted as |
|---|---|
| ~10 digits | seconds |
| ~13 digits | milliseconds |
| ~16 digits | microseconds |
| ~19 digits | nanoseconds |
Example
1700000000 -> 2023-11-14T22:13:20.000Z
Output
ISO 8601 (UTC), the UTC string, full local time, the seconds & milliseconds values, and the relative difference (e.g. "3 months ago"). The reverse mode accepts ISO 8601 or any date Date can parse.
